Jerry at Ladyslipper's Wheel

This was our first boat with a steering wheel. After using a rudder to steer our first boat, using a wheel took some adjustment. A rudder is pushed away from where you want to go, but a wheel is turned towards your objective. Once near Martha's Vineyard the steering cable broke and we had to quickly fit the emergency tiller with a tug and barge approaching. Then we had to remember how to use a tiller again. The wheel system was fixed the next day.
