Starting From Anchor

Boats anchor at the starting line before the race. When the gun sounds, they pull up their anchors and sails simultaneously. This creates close action when they start sailing, but is probably safer than having them all maneuver for position with full sails before the start. These are "Class A" (the biggest) 28 feet long with masts 62 feet tall.
