John & Paa Gave Us a Drum

We were very surprised when John and Paa presented us with this traditional mahogany slit drum and drumsticks. It is a wonderful souvenir of their island and its outstanding musical heritage. It was not finished, and we spent some time sanding so it would pass Customs in other countries. Now it is with Grandson Nico, a drummer himself.
