Leaving Aitutaki With Two Stalks of Bananas

When we left Aitutaki we were given much fruit, including two whole stalks of bananas. This island used to export bananas to New Zealand, but this trade stopped abruptly because of NZ politics. Now NZ imports bananas from South America, but supplies "foreign aid" to the Cooks. This is very annoying to people on Aitutaki, who have no market for their crop.
