Banda Friends

On Man's only day off, Sunday, we were invited to Ai Island for a picnic with Badaria's family. From left to right are Mira, Pon, Ahmed, Badaria, Rida & Onyong. Mira was from Ai Island and lived with Badaria to attend school. Pon is Badaria's sister and her only son is Ahmed. Rida is Badaria and Man's only son. All the inhabitants of Banda now are Muslims. During the "tension" in Ambon a few years ago all the Christians left the island with their dogs. There are now no dogs on these islands.
