Yogyakarta

A gamelan is the "orchestra" of Indonesia. It includes a wide variety of bronze gongs, xylophones, and similar percussive instruments plus drums, often accompanied by a flute or voices. The instruments of a set are all tuned to each other, so no two gamelans sound exactly alike. Each set is also visually connected by matching designs and colors. This elegant gamelan is in the Kraton.
