Walking clockwise around all nine levels from bottom to top is a spiritual journey on the path to enlightenment, as represented by the carvings along the way. This is a three mile walk! In the hot sun we were happy to employ umbrella-carriers. Besides being a practical solution, it made us feel like royalty.
