Baibai Pit At Tebunginako Village

This is a "baibai" (root vegetable much like taro) pit near Tebunginako Village. Baibai require plenty of water, and better soil than most coral atolls have. This pit was dug long ago, and the soil has undoubtedly been improved by adding compost through the years.
