Officials Review Paperwork

The only contacts we had with officials in Laos were when getting our passports stamped "In" and "Out." The Communist officials seemed as polite and efficient as those of any other country. This cluster of characters checked the paperwork before our boat left Pakbeng. It was a lengthy procedure, and money changed hands before we left, but we don't know the details.
