Boat Driver and Photographer

There were many longboats traveling up and down the river, so we passed several. Boats with tourists were easily identified by their cameras. Each boat depends on its driver's knowledge of the river. No instruments such as depth sounders are used. Safe routes through the rapids and rocks change as the water levels rise and fall with the seasons.
