Kek Lok Si is a spectacular temple complex on a hillside near Penang. We spent several hours wandering through its amazing architecture looking at its wonderful sculpture, paintings and other decorations. This photo was taken from its seven-story "Ten Thousand Buddhas Pagoda." We were there just before the Chinese New Year celebration, for which this temple was decorated with over 10,000 lanterns and approximately 230,000 electric lights.
