Kuan Yin is the Goddess of Mercy and is typically displayed pouring water. This 30 meter tall bronze was made by craftsmen in Hong Kong and placed in 1999 on the hill at the Kek Lok Si temple. The elaborate pavilion covering the statue was erected very recently and its base platform was not yet open to visitors when we were there.
