Nina on Trail to Tekek

The western half of the northern route between Juara and Tekek villages on Tioman Island was a narrow rainforest path. No vehicles could negotiate its steps and fallen trees. All cars and motorbikes took the new (steep!) road further south. The interior of the island had large trees and interesting wildlife such as the Racquet-Tailed Drongos we watched catching insects.
