Tekek Inner Harbor

There was considerable new construction at Tekek on Tioman Island in 2008. A new marina was almost finished, and this new harbor for small boats was operational. We got the impression that the government was upgrading facilities to improve tourism. Tioman Island, like most Malaysian places we visited, had more tourism capacity than was being used.
