Tekek Bay Beach and Bat Trees

This was part of the long beach at Tekek Bay, Tioman Island, as seen from our mooring north of the ferry dock. Flying Fox bats roosted in all the large trees on the beach visible in this photograph and in other trees in the town. When we visited in 2009 some of these trees had been cut down and many bats had moved into other trees nearby.
