| We took a tour through the mangroves with Tadao, a local guide who understands much about Kosrae flora and fauna. He is also one of the few remaining people with some knowledge of ancient island customs, myths and traditions. His outrigger canoe is a fairly traditional dugout, but he does use an outboard motor. |
