| These stone ruins are high up in the center of Kosrae at Menke, an ancient ceremonial site. There are no fortifications here, but many mysterious low-walled rectangles which may have been topped by wood and thatch. These extensive ruins in the rain forest are almost never visited and have never been mapped. They apparently have never been seen by a professional archeologist. Who can say what is waiting here to be discovered? |
