Bonito Fishermen at Ant Atoll

We spent a few days at uninhabited Ant Atoll near Pohnpei. One day a group of people with fast outboards herded a school of bonito into a net inside the lagoon. This was probably illegal, but enforcement of all fishing regulations seemed to be almost nonexistent. Of greater concern should be the overfishing of tuna by fleets of large, powerful and sophisticated ships.
