French Scholars at Old Library

We encountered a team of scholars documenting frescoes and inscriptions in a small library near the Shwe War Thein Handicraft Shop. They were doing a thorough job, and the result will probably be an authoritative book. They said the library was probably built in 1705 and inscriptions on the walls were in the Burmese language. We would not have gone into this place if they had not been there, and we were grateful that they let us take a look at the interesting paintings which were still in fairly good condition.
