| Hilary is viewing a typical scene near the top of Mt. Ruapehu at the time we were there in 1998. Nothing green was visible, all having been destroyed by the last eruption in 1995. It was difficult to walk on all the loose rocks, but we got to walk in some snow 2000 meters up the mountain. |
