| The only anchorage at Tikopia is near Ariki Tafua's village, so he is always the host of visiting cruisers. He is an intelligent ex-schoolteacher, a brilliant politician, and apparently well-liked by both locals and visitors. He provided tapa cloth and turmeric "makeup" so we were properly attired to attend three dance performances. |
