King Rama I Memorial at Phra Put Yot Fa (Memorial Bridge)

This is a memorial to King Rama I, who founded the new capital city of Bangkok in 1782 after Ayuthaya was destroyed. Rama I was the founder of the present Chakri dynasty, and Thailand's present King is known as Rama IX.
