The "Phayam Beach Resort" is on the beautiful long beach of Ao Yai on the southwest side of the island. It is owned by Aoy and she operates it with her husband Jay and some other helpers. They have several "bungalows" which are actually large tents on tent platforms with thatched roofs above. This arrangement provides mosquito-free spaces with good air flow and good protection from the sun and the (unlikely) rain. The restaurant meals we ate here were delicious and all the guests were enjoying the very relaxed atmosphere.
