This is the main pier at the village. In 2010, speedboats made the 30 minute trips from and to Ranong three times daily. Departures from this pier were at 9:00, 13:00 and 16:00 for 350 Baht per person. There are also slower ferries, fishing boats and cargo boats which use this pier. A small market operates on the pier, and there are also shops in town and at the mid-island crossroads which sell fresh fruit and vegetables. Drinking water comes from Ranong in plastic bottles (sizes up to 20 liters), while wells on the island supply water for showers and laundry.
