Jerry celebrated his 65th birthday at Patong.
Behind him is part of the fleet anchored in the bay, and the floating dock where we all tied our dinghies.
Cruise ships anchored out in deeper water, but moved their passengers to and from this same dock in big "lifeboats"
which had to thread their way between the yachts.
Added to the mix were rental jetskis (loud and aggressive - one actually bumped into our hull),
parasail boats, longtails transporting tourists, and fishermen.
It was a very busy place.
