Kamala Beach

Kamala Beach is one of the "developed" beaches on the western side of Phuket Island. The lovely beach is now backed by many resorts, hotels, and shops of every description catering to tourists. In the southwest monsoon season the winds constantly push fairly large waves onto this beach, but this August photo shows that the tourists are not deterred by the breaking surf.
