Espiritu Santo Island

When we left Gaua the second time we headed southwest to Espirito Santo. The canoes in this photo are from the village of Santo Wunpuko on the northwest side of the island. We were only there one night and never went ashore. The chief came aboard to supervise all our visitors. Not many cruisers stop at this village, and he worried that someone would be impolite.
