This huge sculpture is a Langkawi landmark on the waterfront at "Eagle Square" near the big ferry terminal. It is a Brahminy Kite, but locally it is called a "Brown Eagle." We often see these big soaring birds in Southeast Asia. The sculpture is large enough to conjure up visions of the Roc in the story of Sindbad the Sailor.
