The Nathlaung Kyaung is the only Hindu temple remaining in Bagan. It was apparently built in the 10th or early 11th century and dedicated to Vishnu. Its free-standing statues were stolen by a German oil engineer in the 1890s and it was badly damaged by the 1975 earthquake but the interior still has some brick-and-stucco reliefs. |
