White-breasted Cormorants (Phalacrocorax carbo lucidus) are the Great Cormorants found along the sub-Saharan Atlantic coast. They can dive deeply and often stay submerged for 30 seconds. They are one of the few birds which can move their eyes, and this helps them hunt. |
