In 2003 we beached our catamaran in Vava'u to tighten a propeller. The ability to do this is one of a catamaran's advantages. A normal monohull would probably have to be pulled out of the water at a boatyard for a repair of this sort, incurring considerable expense. In many places there is no boatyard available.
